2000 Starting Watts, 1600 Running Watts on Gasoline

Buyers in general are very happy with the value for money this model represents for the light loads and occasional use it is designed to address. Like almost all the brands we have looked at, none have been flawless. So, on balance, if this is all the power you need, then it looks like an excellent option.
Just be aware of how altitude can reduce the performance of generator engines and hence their power outputs. This could be a vital issue to consider if you or plan on using the generator beyond certain altitudes.
A compact and highly portable inverter, the A-iPower SUA2000i is designed to power basic appliances such as mobile phones, tablets, radios, televisions, fans, lights, small cookers, outdoor light strings, and inflator pumps. It's an ideal companion for all kinds of recreational activities, including camping, tailgating or just out for a picnic at the weekend.
Although we are not certain whether this is a rebadged generator, a similar model (the SC2000i) also appears in other markets, such as the UK, under the Sensi brand name.
The control panel is set out clearly for easy operation. It features a multi-switch integrating Start/Run/Stop and which also functions as a Fuel On/Off, Choke On/Off, and Engine On/Off. Besides the grounding nut and circuit breaker, there are three LEDs for power ready, overload, and low oil.
For connections, you have 1xNEMA 120v 20A outlet, 1xNEMA 120v 30A, L5-30R Twist-Lock outlet, and 1x12v DC 8.3A adapter plug either for charging a 12v automotive battery or for use with the supplied USB adapter.
A gauge on the fuel tank helps you monitor fuel use.
Very few, if any, of this segment of the inverter market have an electric start option.
With CARB Certification the generator can be used in all 50 states.
A-iPower offer a 2-year residential warranty.
Detailed information for this model is contained in its manual.
WARNING: The generator does NOT have a carbon monoxide (CO) sensor and must be operated in the open air.
The unit is powered by a 79cc Senci (said to be similar to Yamaha) engine, which has a starting output of 2000 watts and a running output of 1600 watts. An Eco- Mode adapts the engine speed automatically to match the load, offering a quieter operation and better fuel economy.
As an inverter, the A-iPower's output is clean and free from fluctuations and you can safely connect sensitive electronic equipment.
The generator can be connected in parallel with an identical model to increase the outputs, and A-iPower provide as standard the necessary cables to make the connections.
Weighing around 46lbs this compact unit is easily transportable.
There seems to be some inconsistency in the noise levels specified for this generator. While A-iPower's publicity says it has a rating of 58dB at 50% and 65dB at 75% load from 21 feet, the manual mentions 65dB at 25% load. As increases in decibel levels are not linear in terms of how loud noise is, even small increases in the dB have a disproportionate impact.
It comes with everything needed to get started, including the funnel for oil (but not the oil itself). Other comments include "awesome, well-engineered and great value for the money". Buyers say it's almost as quiet as a Honda and super frugal with the gas. For light loads and occasional use, you can't go wrong.
A few dud units have been delivered to customers, and some find it to be a lot noisier than advertised. Filling the oil is a pain with having to remove the whole side panel (quite a common practice with closed frame models), but all the tools required to do so are supplied in the box. Several of the units have come without the parallel cables, and some examples have been hard to start. Customer Service has not always been up to par when buyers have run into trouble, not answering the phone, or replying to messages.
