Overview of the Generator

A powerful portable generator with dual fuel capability to run a lot of equipment either in your home or even on a construction site. The generator comes with a good selection of accessories, as shown below.

In terms of gas fuel efficiency, the 459cc Overhead Valve engine can operate for up to 14 hours at 25% load on its 7-gallon fuel tank.

This model has an electric starter and is supplied with a battery.

Given it power outputs, the SUA12000ED has some similarity with a standby generator but instead is movable.

As all generators give off dangerous carbon monoxide during operation owners must take steps to ensure that it is used outside and at some distance from the home. And it's a good idea to buy a cover to protect the generator from the environment.

Controls and Features

The control panel is well laid out, containing multiple outlets all of which are protected by rubber covers, an hour meter to monitor running time, circuit breakers, an electric start, and a low oil warning indicator.

Unlike the A-iPower SUA12000E this model is EPA/Carb compliant so you will be allowed to use it in California.

A-iPower provide a 2-year limited residential warranty and 1-year for commercial use for this model.

What Most Buyers Like

The A-iPower SUA12000ED is a robust portable generator unit that has earned plenty of 5-stars. It can be connected to your home's mains power box for which you'll need a 50A breaker and equivalent power cord. Some buyers choose this model over the single fuel SUA12000E because of the extra versatility it offers with its dual fuel capability.

What Some Buyers Like Less

One owner had an oil leak while operating the generator, possibly because of damage caused during the delivery of the unit. Others found his unit started to leak gas after varying periods of use.  And some owners, perhaps with not a lot of knowledge of this kind of generator, thought it to be very noisy.
